Stations of the cross in modern perspective, in a church: the Waterstaatskerk te Hengelo (ov)
How is suffering and injustice represented today? Are there contemporary works of art to connect with the 14 stations traditionally used?
Works of art that do not immediately represent the traditional stations, but which have a similar expressiveness or meaning.
Jan Noltes, chairman of HeArtGallery Foundation in Hengelo, has been asked by the Committee of art of the Waterstaatskerk to make a final selection with work from private collections, from artists and the art lending collection from HeArtGallery.
