Jij die mij aanziet (You who see me), in a church: the Waterstaatskerk te Hengelo (ov)
We are proud to invite you to the exhibition “You who see me”. Jan Noltes, chairman of the HeArtGallery Foundation in Hengelo, has been asked by the WSK art committee of the Protestant Municipality of Hengelo to make a selection from collections from private individuals, Museum Hengelo and artists. Paintings, drawings, collages and photography can be seen. It concerns fifteen portraits from fifteen different artists. “You who see me” is the penetrating name of this exhibition. That way it appeals to you, the viewer. Because the artworks can be moving, engaging or frightening, even evoking resistance or compassion. Will you be touched? Do you want to practice watching the other person?
The exhibition can be visited from september 15 to november 10, wed and fri 13:00 to 16:00, sat and sun 12:00 to 16.00.
