The journeys my works make… with photo and film. AND free tickets for a fair.
“What kind of people are this, to buy your work?”
I get this question regularly. And honestly?
that is quite unpredictable
Of course, I am often curious where my babies eventually end up.
With a few paintings I know it, but often it is only the gallery that knows. Only accasionally I hear when there is something special about it, like here.
It doesn’t bother me much though. I had let them go as soon as they left my studio to shine on an exhibition.
Sometimes I get a mail from a buyer, about a work that they purchased ten years ago. If I’m lucky with a photo of it included, how it hangs on the wall.
Then my heart jumps. Because they remain my babies …
Last week, 17 paintings left my studio again.
Worked hard, you’ll think.
And that is quite right.
The most recent I brought to gallery Nasty Alice in Eindhoven, for the exhibition GIRLS.
They are there now to shine on the exhibition until April 14.
And in april, the gallery is taking my babies to the Dutch art fair KunstRAI in Amsterdam.
Happen to be in the neighborhood April 16 – 22?

curious about the other 12 pieces?
An art-lease-gallery took them.
And in the context of new and existing places, I thought it would be nice to show a selection from my database … to give you an idea of the journeys my babies make:
Via art lease galleries my work is everywhere in the Netherlands, in the most diverse places.
Last month four were placed at the management of a school in Doetinchem.
These two also got a spot in the school.
My work can be spotted at diverse places.
For example, one of my portraits hangs in the private room of the mayor of Zutphen, in the town hall.
When cleaning up my address list, I ran into online photographs of the beautiful Jacoba van Beierenhouse in Woudrichem.
To my surprise, these buyers already had some older work of me in the house.
Some of you may already have seen that I have my own channel on YouTube
A new video has been added this week:
An impression of 2018
The exhibitions and activities of the previous calendar year are shown.
